Career:
1985 – 1997: Head of the civil law disciplines department, Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
1997 – 2000: Judge, Supreme Economic Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Secretary of the Plenum of the Supreme Economic Court.
Member of the working group on drafting the laws “On Bankruptcy”, “On Mortgage”, “On Land”, “On Courts”, the Family Code, as well as amendments to the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code and a number of others.
2000 – 2001: Chief researcher, institute for monitoring current legislation under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From 2001 – present: Director, Centre for the Study of Legal Problems (an independent non-governmental organisation).
Head of a number of projects on developing concepts and draft laws.
Expert of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Member of the scientific advisory council under the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2002 – present: Chairman, arbitration court at the Centre for the Study of Legal Problems (Tashkent).
From 2007: Arbitrator, International Commercial Arbitration Court at the CCI of the Kyrgyz Republic.
From 2009: Arbitrator, Kazakhstani International Arbitration.
From 2010: Arbitrator, International Commercial Arbitration Court at the CCI of the Russian Federation.
