On 17 July 2026, by decision of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Atameken, Dana Aitmaganbetovna Tokmurzina was appointed Executive Director of the Private Institution Arbitration Center of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Atameken.
Dana Tokmurzina holds a Candidate of Legal Sciences degree (PhD in Law), an LL.M in Tax Law from Queen Mary University of London, the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT), and the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma (Financial Times Board Director Programme).
Her professional career spans more than 20 years in law and taxation.
From 2023 to the present, she has been the founder of Fortune Partners, a business consulting company (legal, tax and customs matters, HR consulting, and the Academy).
From 2021 to 2023, she served as a Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the inaugural composition of the Judicial Panel for Administrative Disputes, specializing in tax, customs, and antimonopoly cases.
From 2011 to 2021, she was a Partner in the Legal and Tax practice at PwC, advising clients in tax audits, pre-trial appeals, and court disputes.
From 2004 to 2011, she worked at the Tax Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where she served as Head of the International Taxation Division.
Dana Tokmurzina has also served as a consultant to the World Bank's tax reform project and as an OSCE consultant on judicial reform. She is a member of the Tax Reform Project Office and of the Board of the KazBar Chamber of Legal Consultants, served as an Associate Professor (Docent) at the Academy of Justice under the Supreme Court and as an Assistant Professor at Maqsut Narikbayev University, where she headed the School of Tax Law.
The Arbitration Center of the NCE RK Atameken is Kazakhstan's leading arbitration institution, ensuring the effective resolution of commercial disputes. Under the leadership of its new Executive Director, the Center will continue its work to develop the institution of arbitration and strengthen business confidence in out-of-court dispute resolution.
